How to split a PDF

  1. Choose one plain PDF.
  2. Tick the page thumbnails you want to keep.
  3. Extract selected pages and download the new PDF.

Example

For a five-page document, select the thumbnails for pages 1, 2 and 5. The output has three pages: original pages 1, 2 and 5. Your original file is unchanged; repeat with another range for a separate section.

Privacy and limitations

This version extracts your selected pages into one new PDF per operation. It does not create a ZIP or automatically export every page separately. Use the larger page preview to check details, select or deselect the page directly, and move through original pages without closing it. The 100% view lets you scroll to read small text. Selection Undo restores your last change, and selected pages stay selected across groups of 20 thumbnails. Invalid replacements preserve your accepted PDF and selection. Processing runs in a local worker, limited to 20 MB, 100 source pages and 30 seconds per worker stage. File/thumbnail operations have a 60-second deadline. Cancel preserves the accepted input; Clear removes it.

Encrypted, signed and interactive-form PDFs are unsupported. Page content is copied without rasterization. Document-level bookmarks, metadata, attachments and accessibility structure may not transfer. Links to omitted pages may no longer work. This tool does not sanitize PDFs; keep your originals and review the output.

Can I change page order here?

Selected pages retain their original order, regardless of the order you tick them. This avoids changing a section’s sequence accidentally.
