Convert a WebP for a JPG-only workflow
- Choose or drop a still WebP image.
- Choose the color behind transparent pixels and adjust JPG quality.
- Convert, compare the original and actual JPG preview, then download.
Transparency and quality
JPG does not support transparency. White is the default background; use the color picker or a hex value for another color. JPG is lossy even at quality 100, and converting an already compressed WebP can reduce detail. The output may be larger than the source. The completed comparison shows exact byte counts and the actual percentage change; lower quality may reduce size. All eight EXIF orientation values are applied, including mirrored orientations. Dimensions are retained, with width and height swapped for quarter turns.
Supported files and privacy
Lossy, lossless and extended still WebP are supported. Animated WebP is rejected explicitly; this tool does not silently choose a frame or discard animation. Use a file up to 10 MiB, 12 million pixels and 4,096 pixels per side. Container lengths and image dimensions are checked before decoding.
Images remain in browser memory. No uploads or saved drafts. Metadata is removed during JPG export; browser color management and encoding can vary. Cancel processing preserves available results and discards late work. Undo changes restores your source, background, quality, comparison and download after edits or Clear; a successful conversion or accepted replacement ends recovery. Native decoding and encoding may finish in the background, with 30-second wait deadlines. Use the actual output preview to check the result.
