Write your cover letter

  1. Enter your name and contact details, then add the recipient, company and date if needed.

  3. Preview the letter, generate PDF or download text, and review the exported document before applying.

The loaded example and its employment details are fictional. Replace every example detail with accurate information. The tool formats your writing; it does not invent qualifications, contact employers or send applications.

Tailor the content

Europass cover-letter guidance recommends connecting relevant examples from your CV to the vacancy. Be specific and truthful. Follow the employer’s required file format and length; this template makes no hiring or ATS score guarantee.

Privacy and limits

All content remains in the browser. PDF generation runs in a local worker; no external AI, server upload or messaging. Save stores a letter draft on this device’s browser profile only, separately from resume and CV drafts. Clear form and saved draft removes the saved letter and entries. Anyone sharing that browser profile may access saved drafts, so avoid saving sensitive information on shared devices. Browser autofill/restoration may independently retain entries.

Name and letter body are required; other details can be omitted. The optional date is a real Gregorian date from 0001 to 9999. Field-specific limits apply, including 6,000 characters for the body. PDF paginates automatically up to 20 pages; keep the final letter appropriate for its recipient. Western European characters are supported by the built-in PDF font. Unsupported glyphs cause an explicit error without dropping text; Unicode TXT and native browser Print / Save as PDF remain available where supported. Browser printing may have different fonts and pagination. Downloads remain on your device until removed.

Does this automatically tailor a letter to a job listing?

No. Edit the body yourself using truthful examples relevant to the role. No paid AI or external service is required.

Can I leave the company or date blank?

Yes. Empty optional details are omitted. Your name follows the sign-off automatically; check it in the preview.
